Yahokichi -
Shimoda Izuki here.
The music video for "Kaze ni Kinmokusei" has been released! I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about it (˶' แต ' ˶)
↑ Sumire-san took this photo for me! ๐๐
I have Sumire-san’s cute selfies saved on my phone right now ♡♡
During our break, I got to snuggle up on Hiraho-san's lap ( *´﹀`* ) ehehe
Sitting there all snug and cozy ✌๐ป
With scenes of us playing around and having a barbecue, this music video really lets you soak up the summer vibes just by watching it ☺️
We actually played around innocently, using water guns, blowing bubbles, and eating lots of our favorite foods ๐
We even played tag!
The lyrics are wonderful too, so I really hope you'll give them a read! ๐ถ
I really love the little turn we did during the intro of the song.
The lyrics where it goes, "amai kaori ga shita boku no sakkusu ka doko ni saitenai (smell something sweet, wondering if it was just an illusion since there were no flowers blooming anywhere)" is something I'd say everytime autumn rolls around, like, "Kyou Kinmokusei no kaori ga shita! demo mitsukannakatta (I smelled osmanthus today! But I couldn't find the tree)" or somewhere in the line. It brought back a flood of memories from my middle and high school days, filling me with a deep sense of nostalgia.
When singing the "atsui natsu (hot summer)" part of the chorus, I thought back to my own experiences of youth. I feel that time always seems to fly by the fastest when you wish those moments would last forever. That’s why, during "tick-tock tokei no hari ga (tick-tock, the hands of the clock)" section, I danced imagining the steady, rhythmic movement of the hands, while for the "Katteni susunde shimau (moving forward on it's own)" part, I used my movements to express that feeling of reluctance to let go.
I really love the lyrics in the second chorus, too.
When I interpreted the line "Korekara otona ni natte dou ikire ba ii no ka (How should I live as I grow up?)" not just as the present moment but as the life stretching out before me, I felt a lot of anxiety. However, I was greatly encouraged by the lines "So, kantan ni wasure rare nu dekigoto tte taisetsuda, itsuka a jinsei no chizu ni naru (Events that can't be easily forgotten are precious; someday, they’ll become a map for your life)".
It made me realize that the experiences and emotions I’ve had, and those yet to come will surely serve me well in the future.
The lyrics in the intro and outro are identical, but when I imagined this song as a story in my mind, I felt that they likely carry different meanings.
That’s just me, though!
Immersing myself in a song like this and coming up with my own interpretation is a hobby of mine.
(↑ It’s something I always do on the sly)

I went to Disney just the other day ๐
A friend of mine taught me how to take photos properly ( แ ) hehe
She showed me which angles look stylish, explained that certain image qualities give a retro vibe, and advised on which settings best suit the atmosphere of the location... and so much more (* ॑꒳ ॑* )⋆*
I'm learning a lot!!
I went to Disney hoping it wouldn't rain that day, but it did ๐ฆ
Guess I'm a rain magnet...
By the way, I prefer holding the umbrella for others, so I ended up carrying my friend's umbrella the whole time ☔️
