And with today, August is coming to an end already. That was way too fast.
I used to think that August was the longest month of the year. Until now, it had always felt natural to find myself waiting for summer to end, but now, I feel so lonely that I'm almost afraid of August coming to an end. Maybe it's because I'm not very good with the heat, so I used to find myself wishing for summer to end sooner. Maybe that's why August always felt so long to me. But now, standing on the doorstep of September, I find myself wondering why the end of August makes me feel this lonely.

August was such a fulfilling month ✩.*˚

First, I got to see all of you at the Kyoto Real Meet & Greet on the 1st, and on the 3rd, I had the honor of serving as a one-day police chief in Miyazaki Prefecture. I also got to film for Wakemon!!, had online miguri, went out with my Genmates, and got to see my friends too.

I think it was a really wonderful summer.


But summer isn’t over yet, you know ~

I need to get ready ~!! I’ve been gathering all sorts of things every day like buying sunscreen, trying out a new backpack, and so on... 🎒

I really hope the weather will be nice.

I’m sure there are many of you whose summer vacation ends today! The end of summer vacation can feel pretty depressing sometimes. After all, summer vacation is such a fun time…! So let’s think about something fun enough to blow those gloomy feelings away, and get through September together. As for an example of something fun… christmas (!?) But whatever you do, don’t push yourself too hard! I think it’s perfectly okay to secretly extend your summer vacation just a little longer ☺️

Recently on Hinatazaka de Aimashou,  both the formation and the Senbatsu lineup for Hinatazaka46’s 18th single were announced. To be honest, it’s really difficult to put into words how I feel about the announcement this time.  To put it simply, I was disappointed. After the Senbatsu announcement was over, plenty of emotions came rushing over me that I couldn’t stop crying. I cried so much that even I was surprised, and my tears made it difficult for me to see what was in front of me. I found myself thinking about everything I had worked hard on during the 17th single period, the things I wanted to work even harder on from here, and how far there still is between the person I want to become and who I am right now. I’m frustrated, and it hurts. Of course, I understand that being chosen as Senbatsu member isn’t everything.  But precisely because I have the ambition to show all of you even more wonderful scenery, I truly regret not being able to make into the cut this time.
